Maintenance-Free Hysteresis
Clutches
Designed as two parts which nestle together without physical
contact, they offer extremely smooth constant torque, and when
overloaded, smoothly disengage without the abrasion and jerking
which often limits the wear of conventional devices.
Applications will be found in bottle capping, tension controls,
winding/unwinding, packaging, food processing, converting
equipment, and where accurately repeatable process control is
essential as with fibre-optic lines, wire flyer controls,
payoffs and
winders for film, foil and tapes.
Synchronous “Barrier”
Couplings
Available in disc, shaft-to-shaft, or shaft-to-flange
configurations, providing servo-quality torque transmission with
overload protection, transmitting force with no physical contact
between the two clutch sections and so being ideal for
applications where torque and speed are to be transmitted
through a container / barrier / wall, such as a pump housing.
Synchronous “Barrier” couplings can transmit torques from 2Nm to
1000Nm, with speeds up to 6000 rpm depending on model and shaft
diameters, with applications being found in pumps, HVAC,
undersea, unfriendly, gaseous and chemically corrosive
environments, radioactive areas, and many other specialised
uses, where one component must be completely sealed for safety.

Rolling-Ring Drives and
Linear Drive Nuts provide simple
and reliable solutions, for winding, linear transportation,
cutting, feeding, measurement, testing, packaging, spraying,
spreading, spooling, X–Y table movement, converting processes,
metrology and many other “movement” applications, providing
- Backlash-free operation
- Low noise (vibration and sound) emission
- Manual disengagement and repositioning on the shaft
- Overload protection by slipping
- Side thrust up to 2000 Newton's, can be multiplied by coupling
units.
- Pitch settings for either direction on the shaft
