NEW! | Interfacing CNC machines and
Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
Techna’s TTEC Series
provides a range of DIN-rail terminals and interface modules in
a vast choice of styles and configurations.
The new interface modules series IMRE1SS16/CNC, from Techna,
ensures easy wiring in CNC machines by providing connection
possibilities for both the input and output side of a PLC, in a
single module.
This series is compatible with PLCs from Fanuc, GE, Mitsubishi,
Schneider and Siemens.
This DIN-rail mounted series provides 24 inputs and 16 outputs
with contact rating of 10A / 250VAC, standard coil voltage of
24VDC and relay coil status indicated by a red LED. Various
relays can be supplied together with other coil voltages, on
request.

Techna's TTEC terminal range
has been further developed to provide a new range of DIN-rail /
surface-mount Interface
Modules which facilitate the interaction between controlling
devices and actuators/sensors.
Available in the form of simple discrete I/O to grouped I/O or
complex switching of loads at variable voltages, the range
provides numerous configurations the simplest of which is as a
carrier for discrete components such as resistors, diodes,
capacitors etc., in a choice of 4,8,12,16,20 and 24
channels/poles.
D-SUB modules
utilising IMDSUBM
and IMDSUBF male and
female connectors are available in all standard pin
configurations from 9 to 50 and allow the possibility of
providing indication and mounting of other components using the
IMDSUBMH series.
Relay modules can be
Non-Bussed, with each relay being provided a pair of inputs,
positive and negative for DC or Phase and Neutral for AC.
Positive Bussed modules have the positive terminals of all
relays bussed (shorted together) allowing the user to operate
the relays with only the negative input as the positive input
for all relays is common.
Negative Bussed Relay modules allow the user to operate the
relays with only the positive input, as the negative is common.
Other relay modules can include variable voltage inputs for
actuation of individual relays as required, modules for multiple
input voltages, modules with fuses for protection from excessive
currents, and relay modules for CNC machines using specific
controllers such as the Sinumerik 802D.
Relay modules also include added value by providing LED
indication of relay actuation, protection of relay coils by
connection of a diode, relays can be mounted on sockets for ease
of movement or replacement and the modular concept also allows
availability of any number of channels (relays).
For overload, short-circuit protection, surge and over-voltage
protection, fuse and
varistor modules are available. Metal oxide varistors
provide protection for components such as solenoids and
contactors.
Insulation Displacement Connectors / Flat Ribbon Cable modules
and many other options are available and can be provided as
cut-to-length, fully customised items or as individual
components for customer assembly of their own designs.
Modules utilise the TTEC range of
static Terminal Blocks for simple wire to PCB, in pitches of
5mm(orange), 5.08mm(green), and 7.5mm(black) for maximum
stranded wire size up to 2.5sq.mm. with 5.08mm
terminals being available in
single, double or triple levels and 2/3-way combinations,
stackable, to allow for any number of connections.
Alternatively, TTEC Pluggable
Terminals facilitating easy connection/disconnection of
screw-clamp-wired female blocks which plug-into / unplug-from
male blocks soldered to the PCB’s.
The use of Internationally approved components is integral to
standard modules which are designed to UL and IEC specifications
with controlled soldering and post-soldering processes (to
eliminate solder oxidation) and 100% post-solder inspection with
100% functionality testing of final assemblies for ageing,
accuracy and dependability.
Techna are able to provide cost effective, fully customised,
designs to meet virtually any requirement, from the simplest to
the most complex interfaces, from inception to finally assembled
and tested product.
