Easylock:  Positive Drive Spool Clamping Systems

The Easylock provides positive engagement allowing tension to be introduced into the spooled material. These spool clamping systems have one fixed and one removable tensioning cone, providing a clamping system for use on hardened shafts for spool applications requiring positive drive engagement to the shaft. These fast one handed operated clamping systems are available for shaft diameters from 10mm to 40mm with clamping forces up to 5000N.

Uhing Easylock ® II spool clamps are fitted with a clamping ring which, in response to axial or tensioning forces, tilts on the shaft with which it engages, thus creating an increasing friction contact. The greater the tensioning force the greater is the clamping effect of the ring.

As the roll or spool is held firmly between the fixed pintle and the clamping pintle, braking moments can be transmitted from the shaft to the roll or spool. The machine can thus be quickly stopped if a malfunction occurs.
