Flyers with Tension Control

Techna flyer with constant tension F21G-Gfk Series
Flyer with ultrasonic control for constant tension

A magnetic particle brake is mounted on the flyer of the payoff and reduces the torque as the spool becomes empty. To achieve this an ultrasonic sensor detects the increasing distance to the wire surface and feeds back to an electronic control unit which reduces the current to the flyer brake. This system ensures constant tension of the wire. Periodic variations of the tension are equalized by the tension compensator arm.

Flange Ø :  500-800mm
Multiwire :  7x0,15 - 8x0,3mm
Ø Cu-, Al wire :  0,15-0,9mm
Ø Steelwire hard :  max. 0,3mm
Ø Steelwire soft :  max. 0,5mm
Wire speed max. :  800 m/min
Wire tension :  5N - 18N

Techna flyer with tension control F26G-2M Series
With tension control by a dancer accumulator

This unit is equipped with a tension control via a dancer accumulator. By moving a potentiometer the dancer controls the braking torque of the magnetic particle brake connected to the payoff flyer. The tension, which remains constant over the complete diameter range, is set by modifying the spring adjustment at the dancer.

Flange Ø :  630-800mm
Multiwire :  8 x 0,55mm
Ø Cu-, Al wire :  0,6-1,9mm
Ø Steelwire hard :  max. 0,3mm
Ø Steelwire soft :  max. 1,5mm
Wire speed max. :  300 m/min
Wire tension :  6N - 49N

Techna driven flyer payoff F21G-Gfk (HAT) Series
Driven flyer payoff

This Payoff is equipped with a glass fibre flyer arm that is driven by an AC-motor. Control of the motor is via a frequency inverter. The unit is especially suitable for higher wire tensions and high speed spooling in start/stop use. It works very smoothly and with precision constant tension.

Flange Ø :  560-800mm
Multiwire :  8 x 0,35mm
Ø Cu-, Al wire :  0,1-0,9mm
Ø Steelwire hard :  max. 0,3mm
Ø Steelwire soft :  max. 0,6mm
Wire speed max. :  600 m/min
Wire tension :  1N - 18N
