Terminal Blocks for Highly Corrosive/Explosive Environments
Techna offers TTEC Series Terminal Blocks for Highly Corrosive /
Explosive Environment. The terminals not only comply but also surpass
International standards because of carefully selected plastics - for
insulating material, copper, copper alloy material with right surface
protection for fail proof clamping parts. In selection of the right
material, process and surface treatment phenomenon, seasoned cracking is
completely eliminated. The terminal blocks are subjected to 'Corrosion
Cracking Test' as per CSA Standard C 22.2 No. 158. The terminal blocks
ensure better performance under corrosive atmosphere when compared to
most of other components and equipments used in the cabinet, boards or
boxes.
These TTEC terminals are Explosion Proof, i.e. they can be used in
hazardous environments (areas in which atmosphere may become explosive
due to occurrence of explosive gas and mixture during normal operation
of the system, especially in the Chemical and Petrochemical industry).
The TTEC Series Terminal Blocks for Highly Corrosive / Explosive
Environment are designated for AEx ell and EEx ell (Increased Safety)
and can be used in Class I, Zone I hazardous areas. The terminals, when
used in Zone I area should be installed in a terminal box or system
which also has the EEx e designation apart from having minimum of IP 54
protection. The terminal blocks comply to EN 50019.
