Melamine Terminal Blocks for High Temperature Applications
Melamine is a thermosetting material of the amino group of
plastics. Apart from its inherent dielectric properties, it retains
mechanical, electrical and dimensional stability under conditions of
heat, cold, damp and dryness to a degree in excess of commercial
thermoplastics and phenolic materials. It has very good insulation
properties and high resistance to flash over. Its resistance to tracking
is also high since it is a non carbonising material. The moulded housing is non-hygroscopic, not subject to mould
growth and is completely reliable in tropical conditions. They can be
used in temperature range of -55ºC to +130ºC continuously.
