MOTEC Motor Starter
Due to it's high breaking capacity and
high current limitation, Motec provides optimum overload and
short-circuit protection for one to three-phase electric motors up to
25A, 690V ac.
Also equipped with phase failure protection and ambient temperature
compensation, plus a range of accessories, Motec can provide motor
protection, switching, remote signalling, enclosures, locking and simple
connection.
- Motor starters are used for overload and short-circuit protection of
one to three-
phase electric motors up to 25A, 690V AC
- For manual (ON/OFF) switching of motors by green/red push-buttons on
the front of
the device
- Padlockable actuation
- Short-circuit release fixed at 11-13xIe
- Adjustable thermal release setting via rotary control on the front of
the device
- Integral phase failure protection and temperature compensation
- Motec + accessories = protection + switching + remote signalling +
enclosure +
locking + simple connection
Accessories
Techna's Motec range of motor protection has a full range of accessories.
Auxiliary Contact Blocks
Side mounting contact blocks (maximum two, one on each side of Motec),
can indicate manual switch ON/OFF or tripped OFF due to fault condition.
Shunt Trips and Undervoltage Releases
Shunt trips are designed to trip Motec on coil excitation by a voltage
of between 70% and 100% x Ue. Maximum excitation time of the shunt trip
coil is 5 seconds as it is not designed for continuous load. If
required, connect the shunt trip via a N/O contact of auxiliary terminal
block, to ensure that shunt-trip is shunt off with Motec.
Undervoltage releases are for automatic shutdown and prevention of motor
restart following mains failure.
IP41/IP55 Enclosure
With integral PE (N) terminal top/bottom for
conductor size 0.75-4mm². Top/bottom knockouts for bushings.
Three Phase Busbars and Incoming Terminal
Blocks
For fast and easy connection of 2 or 3 Motecs installed side by side.
Connection from top or bottom of Motec. Busbar connection allows a gap
for one auxiliary contact block between adjacent Motecs. Feed-in block
does not prevent use of busbars. Maximum load current is 63A.
Push Button Membrane and Plastic Bushings
Push button membrane provides IP55 protection after installation and
includes frame and transparent rubber membrane. Plastic bushings are
installed by screwing into knockout holes and used for sealing and
holding of inlet/outlet cables.
Emergency Stops and Padlock Frames
Emergency stops and padlocks are available.
Light Indication and Neutral Conductor
Connector
Mounted in enclosure via front panel knockouts and available
in red, green and white 230Vac and 400Vac, Indicator lights indicate the
position of main Motec contacts. Neutral conductor connector installed
to mirror PE (N) connector inside the enclosure.
