JTEC UL Series
(UL1077/UL508)
10kA Miniature
Circuit Breakers
Techna's JtecUL product provides a full
range of Miniature Circuit Breakers, UL recognised to UL 1077. Additionally, JtecUL is UL listed as a manual
motor controller to standard 508 for industrial control equipment and is
suitable for motor disconnect. Available in trip curves B (quick), C
(medium) and D (long delay) in current ratings from 0.5 to 63A, and all
available in 1, 2, 3 or 4 poles, JtecUL 10kA MCBs offer maximum performance
at excellent prices.
Benefits for Engineers
and Designers
A. Most MCB's are only recognised to UL1077
which is a standard for supplementary protectors only. JtecUL goes further
in that it is also listed to UL508. This rates JtecUL as suitable for use as
a manual motor controller rated for motor disconnect. In simple terms you
can replace the usual combination of disconnect switch, manual motor
controller and a 1077 only breaker with our single JtecUL component. UL508 listed Jtec is suitable for use in
control panels without further UL investigation.
B. JtecUL has superior circuit protection
ratings across the entire range. Many of our competitors only offer the full
breaking capacity (interrupt rating) at 230Vac (instead of 277V) and
sometimes only for a limited range of current ratings.
C. JtecUL also meets European standard EN60898
for circuit breakers and is CE marked, ideal for manufacturers seeking to
export their completed products into Europe.
Benefits for Service Engineers
and Installers
A. JtecUL is suitable for field wiring - this means the product has
been evaluated by UL as being suitable for direct field installation by a
field service engineer (as opposed to factory fitted only.)
B. BBtecUL Busbars
are UL recognized. They allow rapid busbar connection of multiple breakers
using a single feed cable, saving time and money.
Accessories
Auxiliary and Signal Contacts
Includes both changeover and
signal circuits, allowing remote monitoring of the state of the breaker, ON
or OFF, as well as the ability to determine whether the breaker was manually switched
off or has tripped due to a circuit fault.
Shunt Trip Release
Enables remote shutdown of the device with a remote signal pulse.
Neutral Pole (N pole)
A unique add on allowing the conversion of a 3 pole breaker into a 3 pole + switched neutral device
with one shared component, so you do not need to stock 4 pole devices,
making inventory savings.
Undervoltage Release (UV)
Automatically switches off the breaker in the event of a power failure,
thereby protecting against an unexpected machine start-up when mains
power is restored.
Lock-on/Lockoff Adaptors
Available in black or yellow, the lock-on, lock-off adaptor allows the breaker
to be locked, ON or OFF, therefore preventing accidental operation of
the breaker.
