Hydraulic Magnetic Circuit Breakers

The full Carling Technologies circuit breaker ranges are available from Techna. The Carling Technologies circuit breaker uses a hydraulic magnetic mechanism (essentially a magnetic coil surrounds the tripping actuator). The trip actuator is encased in an oil filled chamber which accurately controls the trip parameters according to the viscosity of the oil used. This type of hydraulic magnetic circuit breaker allows very precise control of the trip curves and most importantly provides a mechanism that is temperature stable.

This is ideal for protecting equipment that needs to perform similarly in a variety of temperature zones. The circuit breaker will not de-rate as temperature increases and as such allows easy application without the need for temperature compensation. The Carling Technologies range covers A and B series, C series (available UL 489 listed), M series (a smaller package including handle, rocker, push to reset and push pull versions). Also available is the F series offers ratings up to 700A for high power applications.
